The Energy Within Your Home

A house's interior frequencies can be categorized into three main attributes: intensity, quality, and orientation.
The intensity of the energy in a house should be tolerable within
human energy levels to maintain normal bodily functions. The human body's
energy is similar to the earth's electromagnetic radiation, which is
approximately 0.5 gauss (gauss is the electromagnetic unit of magnetic
flux density). Any frequency too low or too high affects your circadian
rhythms (biological clock) and regular biological processes. It is vital for you to be close to the earth's frequency in order for your body to function normally. Living or working in high-rise buildings that are far from the earth can deprive you of this energy and usually makes you weaker and vulnerable to trouble.
In feng shui, the purpose of setting the orientation of your house and its residents in a specific relationship to the frequency of the earth and the cosmos is to synchronize you with universal frequencies. This alignment with the universe creates empowerment and diminishes the chance of conflict and unexpected, adverse effects.
The quality of the energy field in your house is a combination of the oxygen, various fumes, water, sounds, light/color, ionic fields, infra-red or electromagnetic radiation from appliances, and gases such as radon or toxins from building materials such as asbestos.
Common sense tells you that water purity is vital for normal bodily functions. Similarly, the air you breathe in should be free of pollutants and noxious fumes. Odors should be fresh and

aromatically soothing. Ionic fields created by plants purify the air and their frequency patterns
are comforting to the human energy pattern. Like odors, noise is also in the air. Extremely high noise levels can disrupt your frequencies and cause physical and emotional stress. For instance, it is not recommended to live close to a freeway where there is too much noise and pollution. Bedrooms in particular should be located away from harmful frequencies as you spend over a third of your life in your bedroom replenishing your energy.
The orientation and arrangement of the interior space in your house is extremely important to create energy flow and balance throughout. Likewise, the orientation of each room and the furniture layout has the potential to affect the resident's behavior and well-being. Feng shui theories indicate that room shapes should generally be square, rectangular, circular, or any balanced and symmetrical shape that allows energy to flow smoothly and evenly.
The compass charts used in feng shui indicate the different frequencies that reside in the eight main directions of the earth, and how they affect your home and the people living inside. Often-used furniture such as desks and beds should be placed in appropriate orientations that allow residents to absorb promoting frequencies.
There are many dimensions of energy beyond the interior of the house that affect your energy. Following only one aspect or remedying only one aspect does not ensure good feng shui. Ideally, an expert feng shui master takes everything surrounding your home into consideration when making recommendations and adjustments are made annually to account for the constantly changing energies in our
universe.
