Conception - Sperm Fertilizing an Egg   Liu Feng Shui Grand View is a philosophy defining 130 factors that affect who you are. This is the second article in a series presenting all 130 factors. Please refer to the first article for a complete introduction to this series. Today we will discuss Genetic Heredity.

Because you are formed from your parent’s blood, you inherit the combination of their genetic codes. This has a great impact on the basic foundation of your physical and mental health, which is what you build upon as you grow. Learning about and reflecting upon your parent’s physical and mental health can provide insight into the quality of your own health and state of mind.

When this list of 130 factors was created over thirty years ago, genetic heredity was listed as a

predestined factor that we had little control over. However, the new science of epigenetics is showing that it is possible to overcome the directives of your genetic inheritance. In other words, just because genes might indicate a predisposition to certain traits or diseases in your family, it does not mean you are necessarily destined to take them on in your own life. It is possible to reprogram your genetic code through your environmental perception, high-level meditation, and your feng shui.

It is still a given that you cannot change your unique set of inherited DNA, however, knowing your proclivities and the building blocks you have to work with allows you to select suitable environments and engage in personal practices that neutralize negative traits and encourage positive traits.
