For many of us, our career role is a big part of our identity and often defines our financial status.  Career choice is extremely important to personal welfare and self-worth, affecting our family as well as the entire economic community.

As children and young adults, we may be uncertain as to what we want to do when we grow up. Naturally, we look to our parents and mentors to guide us. However, sometimes during this process, we may try to become what our parents want, or what they hope will bring stability or status for us, whether or not it actually does.

If you choose a career that is not suitable to you, it will be difficult to do well, no matter how hard you try or adjust your feng shui. You will likely struggle in a career when your heart is not in it. Work becomes a meaningless chore rather than something you want to do. A lack of interest and sincerity does a disservice to others as well as yourself.
