Confident Asian woman wearing suitSally is a woman in her late twenties whose parents immigrated to the United States from Asia.  Like many Asian parents who want the best for their children, they encouraged Sally to pursue the medical field, regardless of the fact that Sally had no aptitude or interest in the sciences.  Without passion for her studies, Sally struggled in school to no avail, and her failure disappointed her parents.  She had invested eight years of her life toward pleasing her parents until she realized that she must live for herself.  She moved out to make her own living, despite her parents’ threat to disown her.

Sally now lives in a small apartment and works as a clerk.  She is financially independent and makes just enough money to cover her bills, however she is not getting anywhere in life with her job and doesn’t know how to break out of the cycle.  This was not her intention when she left home and she wants to do something to improve her situation.  She decided to save and borrow money so that she could acquire my feng shui consultation service.

Sally’s apartment feng shui is 50% good, and 50% not so good.  Her environment is not helping or hurting her, but it’s keeping her stuck.  Based on her year of birth, Sally belongs to the Eastern Direction Pattern.  This means her personal frequencies are synchronized with the east, southeast, north, and south directions.

I start the consultation by analyzing the layout of the rooms.  Sally lives in the north unit of her apartment complex, which sits in the west and faces east.  Her apartment door opens to the east.  The living room, nook, and a third of her bedroom are respectively located in the east, southeast, and south, which are positive areas that match her Eastern Direction Pattern energy.  The kitchen and bathroom are also located in the correct directions for her.  Based only on her interior layout, the feng shui of Sally’s apartment matches her energy well.

Next, I focus on Sally’s bedroom.  Her bed is located in the northeast part of her bedroom and her bed is placed so that she faces west and is aligned with the bathroom door.  Sleeping in her opposite direction frequency (northeast) conflicts with Sally’s energies.  The west (her facing direction) is associated with the lung or respiratory system and can cause colds, while alignment with the bathroom’s negative energies also weakens the health.  Sally admits she often has colds.

Outside Sally’s bedroom window is a large electromagnetic pole.  Exposure to electromagnetic frequencies over time can cause hormonal imbalance and lower the energy of the immune system.  There is also a hospital close by.  Hospitals contain illness and radiate a negative frequency, which can weaken Sally’s energy.

So although the interior layout of Sally’s apartment is good, the exterior environment is negatively influencing her well-being.  I recommend for her to reorient her bed to face east and to meditate in the living room facing southeast.  Meditation along with a vegetarian diet and exercise will strengthen her energies so that her environment has less of an impact on her.

As far as Sally’s personal energy, her birth chart indicates that she is highly intelligent and perhaps too smart for her own good.  She has an innate knack for managing or running her own business in the future.  Working as a clerk does not allow her to reach her full potential and thus, restricts her energy.  She tends to get herself into trouble at work because of her quick response and the need to do more than her job requires.  Her good intentions are often not appreciated and misunderstood.  I tell Sally she is wasting her time and energy not to pursue something more congruent with her abilities.  Sally agrees but explains that she doesn’t have the time or motivation to pursue a different career.  I assure her that her apartment’s energy induces this lack of energy and focus.  Once she makes the changes to her feng shui, her attitude will naturally improve.  I also point out that her birth chart shows that her homeland, the Philippines, is a strong place for her to find better opportunities.

Sally makes the feng shui adjustments and most importantly, she integrates meditation, a vegetarian diet, and regular exercise into her lifestyle to purify and expand her energy to attract positive frequencies and avoid negative ones.

Two months later, Sally calls me and tells me that everything I told her would happen is coming true for her.  At work, the people she had trouble with no longer bother her.  One of her co-workers who argued with her the most just quit and Sally has been promoted.  Even her family is responding better.  A month into her meditations, Sally’s grandmother sent her a gift of money.  Furthermore, Sally’s relatives in the Philippines have offered her a managing position in their family business.  Her whole life is changing right before her eyes.

I had dinner with Sally the other night.  Her eyes glistened with strong internal energy as she spoke emotionally of the new meaning and purpose in her life.  With proper guidance, Sally made the changes that were necessary to cause a chain reaction of positive events in her life, leading her towards the fulfillment of her true potential.
